International Student Festival “A New Breeze, 2025” at IUH: A Bridge of Knowledge and Culture 10-10-2025

The International Student Festival “A New Breeze, 2025”, co-organized by the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) and National University of Kaohsiung (NUK), Taiwan, created a vibrant multicultural space where students had opportunities to connect, share, and experience the spirit of global academia — from the classroom to the community.

The festival took place from August 25 to 28, 2025, under the coordination of the Office of Science Management and International Cooperation and the Faculty of Fundamental Sciences. The event attracted around 300 – 400 students from IUH and partner universities in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, offering a dynamic and meaningful series of academic, cultural, and volunteer activities.

“Hearts without Borders” – A Journey of Compassion in Vinh Loc Commune, Ho Chi Minh City

The festival began with the meaningful program “Hearts without Borders” in Vinh Loc Commune, Ho Chi Minh City. International students and lecturers immersed themselves in the rhythms of rural Vietnamese life, awarding 10 “Step to School” scholarships and 30 learning encouragement gifts to disadvantaged students, visiting five underprivileged households, and participating in cultural exchanges and countryside culinary experiences. These real-world encounters not only fostered empathy but also served as inspiration for students to write reflective journals and propose innovative ideas for building comprehensive ecological learning environments.

Many scholarship and charity activities were given to people in difficult circumstances in Vinh Loc commune.

Continuing the festival, on August 27, the Nguyen Van Dung Hall at IUH transformed into a lively space for the “Taste & Culture” event. A variety of booths showcased traditional cuisine, folk games, calligraphy, tea ceremonies, and traditional costumes — painting a vivid picture of global cultural diversity.

The activity “The World Through My Eyes”, featuring creative recycled products and an environmental initiative writing contest, encouraged students to embrace social responsibility and spread the spirit of sustainable living.

The festival concluded on August 28 with the talk show “Reaching the World” held at Hall E4, featuring distinguished speakers: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Thị Lan (NUK, Taiwan), Prof. Dr. Hara Kenji (TU, Japan), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trịnh Ngọc Nam (IUH). The discussion provided students with valuable insights into academia, research opportunities, scholarships, and international collaboration, paving the way for new directions on their path to global integration.
