Establishment of the Radio–Electronics Sub-Association at IUH – A New Milestone in Collaboration and Research 31-07-2025
As part of the 2025 International Conference on Signal and Information Processing, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) held a formal ceremony to announce and present the Certificate of Establishment for the Radio–Electronics Sub-Association, affiliated with the Radio–Electronics Association of Vietnam (REV), to the university's Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Canh Minh, Vice President and General Secretary of REV (left), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Trung Hieu, Vice Rector of IUH, jointly presented the certificate to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology during the ceremony.
The establishment of this Sub-Association aims to strengthen professional connections, promote research, and expand academic cooperation in key fields such as electronics, telecommunications, and information technology. This is an important step that contributes to improving the quality of education, scientific research, technology transfer, and policy advocacy — all core elements in IUH's sustainable development strategy.
REV is a prestigious network of scientists, experts, lecturers, and researchers both within Vietnam and internationally. With nearly 50 affiliated Sub-Associations across universities nationwide, REV serves not only as a significant academic forum but also as a platform for academic exchange, research collaboration, and professional development.
In his remarks at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Canh Minh, Vice President and General Secretary of REV, emphasized:
"The Association will continue to support and accompany the Radio–Electronics Sub-Association at IUH, ensuring its sustainable development and effective connection with the academic community both domestically and internationally."
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Trung Hieu, Vice Rector of IUH, affirmed that this milestone demonstrates the university's deep integration into the national academic ecosystem and opens new opportunities for students and lecturers in electronic and semiconductor technology to engage in learning, research, and innovative entrepreneurship.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Son, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology:
"The establishment of the Sub-Association marks an important milestone that creates a broader professional space for lecturers and students. It lays the groundwork for enhanced research activities, academic exchange, and stronger cooperation between the university, enterprises, and the national expert network."
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Son participated in the program as a representative of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology.
The Chairperson of the IUH Radio–Electronics Sub-Association will serve as a strategic liaison between the university and academic partners, businesses, and the expert network within REV's ecosystem. In this role, the Sub-Association will not only help improve training and research quality in core fields such as electrical-electronics, semiconductors, telecommunications, and information technology, but will also drive international cooperation programs, technology transfer, and active participation in policy advisory and scientific development efforts for the nation.
